Climate change promotes risk of hypoxia in coastal zones threatening zoobenthic communities and their function

The Åland- and SMHI-nodes participated in a conference on global hypoxia-problems, and gave a presentation (excellently presented by PhD-student Benjamin Weigel) on how climate change may impact the coastal ecosystem in the northern Baltic Sea (data on ecology from Åland; climate scenarios from SMHI). This presentation summarises a lot of work within NorMER done by NorMER at Åbo Akademi and the SMHI, and the talk has been made into a very useful and interesting pdf which can be found here: BonsdorffWeigeletal.pdf
