The Regions of Knowledge program aims to support cooperation between R & D institutions (universities, colleges, institutes), enterprises and regional authorities.
The specific funding scheme relevant to NorMER is "Resource efficient Europe" to help decouple economic growth from the use of resources, support the shift towards a low carbon economy, increase the use of renewable energy sources, modernise our transport sector and promote energy efficiency.
Requirements include:
1. Consortia of at least 3 regional research driven clusters from 3 different countries
2. Compulsory partnership of research, business, and regional government.

The deadline for submission of a proposal is January 31, 2012.
